Elephant God

This award-winning novel from Vijaya Schartz was picked up by a Bollywood movie Director, to be filmed in India. The director had the script written and had just finished another movie. Bollywood in India has the largest movie studios in the world. Production hadn't started yet and the filming was not yet scheduled, and of course in this business anything can happen at any minute, and it did.  The director seemed to have disappeared from the face of the earth.  My suspicion from a recent search on the web was that he entered an Indian monastery. For how long? Well, as things go, it happens that the man is alive and well and I just heard from him after three years of silence. He is doing a movie in LA and things are going good for him, so do not despair. You might still see Ashes for the Elephant God on the big screen sometime in the future.

OPERATION: PLEIADES
TELEVISION PILOT

When Vijaya spoke at the L.A. Film Actors and Writers Conference, she also met with several producers. She pitched Archangel Crusader for the big screen and OPERATIONS PLEIADES for the small screen and spurred some enthusiastic responses. Vijaya recently submitted a co-written screenplay for a TV pilot of OPERATIONS PLEIADES, based on the Triskelion Publishing Science-Fiction series of the same name. The TV pilot, tentatively titled FIRST STRIKE, constitutes a prequel to the series comprising seven novels by several authors. Vijaya wrote RELICS and  ANAZ-VOOHRI . The last book, SIEGE, is not yet published. The co-writer of the screenplay, Toby Heathcotte, also wrote Full Contact, another book in the series. Keep your fingers crossed.
